The Shasti Association is a public benefit, tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization incorporated in the State of California, that is devoted to disseminating traditional wisdom teachings of evolutionary significance. This include the works of the spiritual philosopher and author José Trigueirinho Netto, his associates Mother María Shimani of Montserrat and Friar Luciano, as well the contemporary English philosopher Paul Brunton.

The Shasti Association is an Affiliate of the Fraternity International Humanitarian Foundation, located in Brazil (www.fraterinternacional.org).

Our activities include:

  • Translating and publishing the writings of these and other authors from Portuguese and Spanish into English; and for Paul Brunton, from English into Portuguese, and Spanish.
  • Distributing books and CDs.
  • Conference calls.
  • Hosting conferences, retreats and meetings in Mt. Shasta.
  • Study groups, meditations and classes.
  • Visits to cities where there are interested individuals. 

Since our incorporation in 2012 our activities have included:

  • The hosting monks and nuns from the Grace-Mercy Order of South America.
  • Classes in Mt Shasta and Weed on traditional philosophy, mantras, prayers for world peace, the Divine Mother in her different forms.
  • The Teachings of the Planetary Centers.
  • Presentations on comparative philosophy and religion. 

We have also hosted workshops and sacred music events by the Mevlana Sufi Order of North America and the Parmenides Traditional Philosophy Foundation.  In addition we have received visitors from throughout the U.S. and also from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela.

We maintain collaborative relationships with the Fraternity International Humanitarian Foundation (the parent organization of the Grace-Mercy Order), the Paul Brunton Philosophic Foundation, the Parmenides Traditional Philosophy Foundation, and Wisdom’s Goldenrod Center for Philosophic Studies.

The following excerpt is from the Articles of Incorporation of the Shasti Association (approved in May, 2012 by the California Secretary of State):

This corporation is a non-profit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for charitable purposes.The specific purposes for which this corporation is organized are to foster planetary unity and peace; to promote respect and love for all the beings of Nature, and to stimulate transformations in the present patterns of humanity’s life toward these ends; to support, promote research and foster the practice of holistic approaches to the human being that contribute to health; to diffuse the teachings of José Trigueirinho Netto and his associates (Mother María Shimani of Montserrat and Fray Luciano); to help in situations of socio-environmental emergencies and generalized calamity and/or in situations of risk and individual or collective vulnerability; stimulating altruistic service to promote the protection and well-being of human, animal, vegetal and mineral life, working in defense of the natural resources and in the preservation of the planetary environment.

By Corporate Resolution of the Board of Directions, the goals and activities of the Shasti Association have been expanded to include: “other writers and spiritual teachers whose work is of significance for human and planetary evolution.”
